  • Lesson fees: Lessons may be bought one at a time or in 5-packs.  Payment can be submitted via cash, check, or Venmo.  Payment must be made within 24 hours of request.

  • Cancellation policy: Students must cancel lessons by phone or email with at least 24 hours’ notice to be excused. Cancellations with less notice are considered excused for illness, family emergency, or severe weather (public school closures). Excused cancellations will be given a make–up lesson scheduling permitted. No shows or cancellations without 24 hours’ notice will be charged. If I need to reschedule or cancel a lesson due to illness, family emergency, or performance engagements, I will schedule a make-up lesson within scheduling permitted.

  • Lesson time: Lessons will begin and end promptly. If a student will be late due to an emergency or unforeseen circumstance, it is expected that they will call or text to let me know. If a student arrives after their scheduled lesson time has begun, I will complete the lesson in the remaining portion of the timeslot. I cannot guarantee additional time for student tardiness. However, If I am running late and begin your lesson after the scheduled time, I will give additional time past the timeslot. If a student arrives a little early (no more than 5 minutes) to his/her lesson and I am working with another student, please knock and enter quietly while I finish up. Please do not enter if you do not see me teaching in the studio.

  • Covid policies: Masks are no longer required for in person lessons.  If the student is sick, they should stay home until they test negative.  If anybody in the student's household is sick, the student must test before lesson in order to attend.  In case of illness, virtual lessons are possible.

  • Siblings: Siblings may attend lessons only if they have a quiet activity to work on independently. If siblings cannot play or sit quietly, it is the parent’s responsibility to schedule alternate arrangements for them. It is very difficult to teach, and even more difficult for students to learn, when siblings are creating distractions.

  • Withdrawal: Students and parents should consult with me if they are considering discontinuing lessons to make sure there are not areas that can be resolved. If the student still decides to discontinue lessons, one month’s notice is required. The lessons remaining in that month will be finished out or held for six months as credit in case of return. There are no refunds for withdrawals.

  • Communication: I am always available for questions or comments. I am here to help with acquiring an instrument, tuning, changing strings, or other concerns. If something is happening at home or school that is affecting your child, please let me know. Please err on the side of letting me know so that I can be sensitive to the needs of your child. You are encouraged to contact me anytime.

Lesson rates are as follows:

30 minutes- $60

60 minutes- $90
